Abstract: This study “Radio Programmes and the Fight Against Corruption in Nigeria: An Evaluation of “Round Table” on FRCN, Abuja” examines the role of broadcast media in the war against corruption in Nigeria. The study is anchored on the tenets of Agenda Setting Theory while the survey research design was adopted with questionnaire as instrument for data collection. Findings from the study reveal that “Round Table” plays information and whistle blowing roles, has a positive influence in combating corruption and that through its information dissemination role combat corruption effectively. The study thus concludes that the programme “Round Table” is a veritable platform for information and whistle blowing against corruption practices and persons in Nigeria. Based on this findings and conclusion, the study recommends that the broadcast media should be placed in the forefront of anti-corruption campaigns and anti-graft agencies such as EFCC, ICPC and the relevant authorities should pay attention to the programme as it can serve as a good source of information in curbing corruption in Nigeria.
