Abstract: There is no doubt that Institutional Repository is a critical vehicle for enhancing eLearning and quality research output in an academic environment especially in a pandemic era. Putting into cognizance the influence of ICT in contemporary library and information services, this paper hence, discussed the concept of institutional repository and the vital role it plays in enhancing eLearning and quality research in a challenging time such as the Covid-19 pandemic era. The paper further discussed the various types of institutional repository for research and eLearning, the general importance of institutional repository to the academic world, the precise benefit of institutional repository to academicians, researchers and students alike.
