Abstract: An unchanging constant for the survival of democracy in any nation are free, fair and credible elections. Elections, that is the process by which citizens can express their will on who their leaders should be, are the life blood for the sustenance of democracy. Now it is no news to the casual observer that Nigerian elections are corrupt to the teeth. They are characterized by mass rigging, political intimidation and violence. Against this backdrop, there has arisen the need to adopt systems by which these electoral malpractices can be curbed. Of many, the most viable has been the advent of technology. This has formed the motivation for this work. An appraisal of how technology has impacted free, fair and credible elections is discussed. This work also recognized the limitations technology has had to achieve this, despite its many achievements in this regard. This study has adopted the doctrinal research methodology and jurisprudentially combs all relevant materials and texts.
