dc.description.abstract | This study on the effect of grievance handling procedures on employee performance in the National Assembly, Nigeria adopted a survey research design. The population of the study consists of 6990 staff of the National Assembly, Nigeria. The study used Taro Yamane's formula to determine the sample size of 377 staff and also used a sample random sampling method to select respondents. The method of data collection used by this study was a questionnaire that was administered to the respondents. The statistical tool is regression analysis. The findings revealed that grievance handling procedures have a positive effect on employee's performance in terms of employee commitment in the National Assembly, Nigeria. This implies that grievance handling procedures such as collective bargaining, complaints, and open-door policy affect employees' performance in terms of commitment (devotion, continuous and affective commitment). The study recommended that National Assembly management in Nigeria should continue to apply the use of grievance handling procedures such as collective bargaining, complaints, and open-door policy since it positively affected the employee's performance in terms of commitment (devotion, continuous and affective commitment). | en_US |
