Abstract:
2021 in light the of the environment in which the war was fought. It
looks in great details the likely violations from both sides (Israel and Hamas) and
concludes that both parties can be guilty of war crimes if prosecuted. The paper
argues that, there was a greater and conscious respect for international
humanitarian law rules during the 2021 Gaza war than during the 2014 war. The
work concludes with a recommendation that the United Notions and indeed the
promoters of international humanitarian law should think beyond waiting to hint
for violators of IHL rules rather, they should revisit their previous resolutions and
bring to an end those factors responsible for the incessant armed violence between
them.
