Abstract:
This study examines the impact of entrepreneurship education and demographic factors on the entrepreneurial intentions of undergraduate students at Kaduna State University in Nigeria. The study employed a survey research design with a sample of 345 third-year students from a population of 2,430. Descriptive and multiple regression analyses were used to analyze the data.
The findings indicate that entrepreneurship education, as well as the demographic factors of religion, gender, ethnicity, faculty, and number of dependents, have statistically significant influences on the entrepreneurial intentions of the undergraduate students.
Based on these findings, the study recommends that Nigerian universities should give adequate attention and consideration to these demographic factors in the planning of entrepreneurship education programs. This would help enhance the entrepreneurial intentions among undergraduate students and better prepare them for self-employment and job creation.
