dc.description.abstract	in the course of writing this paper many who saw the topic, asked whether there can be coaching other that of sports coaching. The concept of coaching has gone beyond sporting arena. It has been embraced as a tool for managing businesses and not for profit organizations. Coaching acceptance is wide spread now. In this paper attempts was made to review the basic literature surrounding the field of coaching with particular emphasis on meaning, approaches, benefits, characteristics and many other essential issues that forms a knowledge base for people researching in this area.	en_US
